Because our physical products are so visually appealing, Instagram is the ideal platform for sharing them with the rest of the world.
You might be living under a rock if you haven’t heard of Instagram. Seriously. It’s the social media platform that has allowed us to get an inside look at our favorite celebrities, be inspired to travel, improve our photography skills, and stay in touch with friends. How to Add Etsy Link to Instagram Bio
As previously stated, consider creating a new Etsy account for your shop. Begin by installing the Instagram app on your phone and clicking “sign up.” You can sign up for an account using Facebook or by entering your email address. Make your user name as close to the name of your Etsy shop as possible.
Add something eye-catching that relates to your shop to your profile photo. It could be a professional (or faux-professional) headshot, your logo, or a photograph of one of your most popular products.
Include a brief bio about yourself and/or your shop in the description section. The most important keywords should be included in the headline because they are searchable on Instagram. Linktree is an excellent tool for adding multiple links to your profile. You can create an account here for free, and it’s ideal for sellers who have a separate website or blog in addition to their Etsy shop. Label each so that people can easily navigate to the relevant pages.
Photos
On Instagram, having great photos is essential for gaining followers and attracting buyers. It’s also a big part of what makes the platform so entertaining! I recommend taking clear product photos that show off exactly what you’re selling. Have fun photographing your items and adding some styling to complement your product. Maintaining a consistent and branded feed can help you appear more professional. Choose colors and a feel that represent your overall brand as you curate your Instagram photos. People appreciate seeing a well-thought-out, cohesive profile. The more effort you put into creating an excellent feed, the easier it will be to increase your following.

Close your eyes (after you’ve finished reading this paragraph) and imagine your ideal client. What types of photos are they sharing? What stage of their lives are they in? What hashtags would they search for or use?
Rather than thinking what would work, put yourself on your customer’s shoes. What would they use? Put it to work. It’s the best way to optimize your hashtags.
Can you tell the difference? It’s unlikely that your customer is tagging “nursery print,” but they could be tagging “mommytobe.” You can connect with them and show them a product they didn’t even know they needed by including “mommytobe”!
Interacting
Half of Instagram is dedicated to posting, writing, and hashtagging. The other half is talking to you! The platform’s entire purpose is to be social, so don’t be afraid to create some interaction by liking other people’s photos, commenting, and following.
To increase your reach, “like” photos in your feed as well as those related to the hashtags you’re using. When I post a photo, I quickly visit each of the hashtags I used and like a few other people’s posts.
